Believe it or not, the Christmas season is upon us, even if we have not reached Thanksgiving! With this in mind, the Ministry of the Interior and Police has begun an educational program in all public schools called “Don’t let the light of fireworks put out your Christmas lights.”
This early start seeks to create awareness among youths and their parents to prevent injuries and deaths associated with accidents of this type each year. The director of Explosives and Fireworks at the Ministry of the Interior and Police, Ana Zayas, initiated the program of awareness at the Victor Estrella Liz School in Santo Domingo.
