Máximo Eladio Romero Marcial, the young professional who was arrested upon leaving the Quisqueya Ball Park on Sunday, said in an interview with “La Cosa como Es” with Edith Febles that he is convinced that the president of the Chamber of Deputies is corrupt. “I am convinced that Camacho is corrupt. It is an open secret.”
Romero said on the TV and YouTube show that he didn’t say anything to Camacho that is not public knowledge.
Camacho would later deny he had ordered the arrest of Romero, saying it was carried out by the stadium security. Nevertheless, a video clearly shows the arrest was carried out by uniformed police. The stadium and baseball club security denied they had anything to do with the arrest.
