The coordinator of the presidential campaign for Luis Abinader of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), Roberto Fulcar confirmed talks for with the La Fuerza del Pueblo-Juntos Podemos coalition for backing senatorial candidates.
La Fuerza del Pueblo is the political party former President Leonel Fernández created when leaving the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD). He denounced that the government had resorted to fraud to ensure the win of the PLD-backed candidate Gonzalo Castillo in the 6 October 2019 primary.
Fulcar of the PRM said there are not talks for an alliance for the presidential level.
