The Central Electoral Board (JCE) recognized on 29 October 2019 the political party, A Possible Country (Un País Posible), represented by 44-year old electrical engineer Milton Morrison. The party had filed an appeal for review after the JCE rejected the legal recognition of the party for not complying with the requirements demanded by the law and the regulations that establish the Procedure for the Recognition of Parties, Groups and Political Movements.
According to the Central Electoral Board, Morrison’s appeal was unanimously accepted by all members of the election body.
Morrison, president of País Posible, said the party’s political committee and national executive committee will meet in the next few days to make legal adjustments through a constituent assembly and to decide on the candidacies and alliances they will make for the next elections, including at the presidential level.
