Julio Cordero Espaillat, who co-hosts the Milagros desde la Z evening talk show on Z101 FM denounced that on Tuesday, 29 October 2019, his vehicle was hit by three bullet shots fired by two individuals that were traveling on a motorcycle. Cordero was at his office on Calle Polvorín in the Colonial City. He was unharmed. He co hosts the program with former Vice President Milagros Ortiz Bosch. Cordero and Ortiz are high-ranking officers of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM).
Cordero reported the incident to the Attorney General Office and the Police. Police Criminal Investigations Agency (Dicrim) is investigating the incident.
A video captures the shots fired at the commentator’s vehicle by the two criminals, who are seen walking along the road and shooting. At that moment two men are close and cover themselves, one throwing himself to the ground and the other hides his head with his hands and flees in the opposite direction of the motorcyclists.
After the motorcycle had left the scene, a person crosses the street and picks up the bullet casings, which the PRM leader questions because these would be part of the evidence of the attack.
Ortiz Bosch, who is recovering from intestinal surgery, expressed her concern on the incident.
