Juan Pablo Medina died on 3 November 2019 at 101 years. He was the father of President Danilo Medina and deputy Lucia Medina. The wake was held at the Blandino Funeral Home and he was buried on 4 November 2019 at the Cristo Redentor Cemetery. Politicians of all sides were united in paying their respects to the deceased and expressing condolences to President Danilo Medina and his family.
