
Over the last week, authorities in Puerto Rico have informed about the arrest of five Dominicans and the confiscation of 3,400 kilos of cocaine that they were transporting. The arrests and seizures happened in separate incidents, but they were all from boats located near to Puerto Rico.
The first happened on 30 October 2019, when the United States federal authorities confiscated 1,900 kilos of cocaine from two Dominicans near Guayama, on the south coast of Puerto Rico.
The second was on 4 November, when the Puerto Rican authorities arrested three Dominicans and confiscated 1,500 kilos of cocaine, which happened at five nautical miles from Salinas, another coastal town in Puerto Rico. Finally, the Puerto Rican Maritime division in Ponce found a boat and arrested the Dominicans on board with 56 bags of cocaine.
