Traffic was restored at the stretch of Calle El Sol in Santiago after around six months. The closure happened after the collapse of a dirt wall during the construction of a hotel. Five workers died and others were injured during the construction tragedy.
The shutdown had disrupted traffic and commercial activities in the area. The city of Santiago ordered the construction company, Desarrollo de Proyectos del Cibao to repair the road stretch.
