On occasion of the 500th year of ties between Italy and Santo Domingo, the Italian Embassy presents an art exhibition at the Centro Cultural Banreservas in the Colonial City. The anniversary commemorates Alessandro Geraldini, the Italian bishop responsible for the construction of the Santo Domingo Cathedral in the 1500s. The exhibition is “Travel through Emotion and Beauty” (Un viaje entre emociones y bellezas) and was curated by Italians Angela Occhipinti, Marco Meneguzzo and Elisabetta Solca. It is dedicated to Angela Occhipinti and Dominican painter Amaya Salazar.
