Punta Cana’s IMG Hospital opened its Advanced Cardiology Unit. The Primera Unidad de Cardiología Avanzada del Este brings together a team of 12 physicians with more than 30 years of experience in the field. The hospital says it has been fitted with state-of-the-art medical technology to care for heart ailments. The center offers cardiac catheterization, stent implantation, interventional neurosurgery and open-heart surgeries.
The president of the IMG Hospital, engineer Carlos Prato, said that the center comes to serve the needs of cardiac patients that in the past had to travel to Santo Domingo for medical care.
