Dominican consul in New York City Carlos Castillo delivered more than 3,000 turkeys to seniors at community centers in that city and New Jersey on occasion of Thanksgiving.
“We make this delivery by order of President Danilo Medina and my own, hoping that the Almighty fills you all with health, blessings during the Thanksgiving dinner,” the consul and staff said when personally making the deliveries of the turkeys.
El Caribe reports the chosen senior centers were: Inwood Senior Center; Ft. Washington Senior Center; Star Washington Heights Community Services Ft. Washington Senior Center, Concourse House, Hands on NY. Also Tolentine Senior Center, Bailey Senior Center; Davidson Community Center; Acción Dominicana in Passai, New Jersey and Paterson.
