Leonel Fernández is asked not to use PLD colors

The Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) has asked the Central Electoral Board (JCE) to impede former President Leonel Fernández from using the logo, colors and symbols of the PLD. Temístocles Montas, in a letter to the JCE, said that Fernández resigned from the party on 20 October 2019 but he is still using the symbols, posters and colors of his former party. Fernández was the president of the party at the time of his resignation.

The letter alleges that even though he is in the process of seeking recognition for a new political party, the Force of the People, Fernández continues to use PLD-inspired marketing material.
