Right-hand man of Cesar el Abusador still on the run

Although Cesar Emilio Peralta, described as the head of the biggest drug dealing network in the Dominican Republic, has been captured, his right-hand man, Natanael Castro Cordero, El Nato, is still at large.

Peralta had officially been on the run for three months and 12 days, after leading an intense and open social life in the Dominican Republic for years. Peralta and El Nato were frequently seen together in clubs and at music events, but since 20 August 2019, when the Attorney General’s office carried out raids on the properties belonging to the Peralta entertainment corporation, Castro Cordero’s whereabouts are unknown.

Castro Cordero is 37 years old and was born in Santo Domingo. He is one of five people, high up on the ranks of the drug gang, who have not been captured. The others are Pablo Antonio Polanco Mateo, Yeimi Verónica Núñez Rodríguez, (wife of César Emilio Peralta), Lidio Peña Mota, and Ana Gregoria Pérez Then.

So far, the Dominican authorities have arrested at least 18 people thought to be part of the gang.
