
Red Sox baseball legend, David Ortiz participated in the Legends Game, a fund-raiser for the Dominican Baseball Federation. The game was organized by the National Federation of Professional Baseball Players (Fenapepro). This is the first time that Ortiz visits, after being shot at when at a Santo Domingo East nightspot. He took the stage with fans that applauded other Dominican legendary baseball players, including Juan Marichal, Pedro Martínez and Osvaldo Virgil.
The event included a home run derby in which Tigres del Licey, represented by Juan Francisco and Jeyson Asencio, defeated Estrellas Orientales’ Xavier Batista and Junior Lake. Also present for the activity were baseball players Fernando Tatis Jr., Carlos Santana, Albert Mena, Francisco Cordero, Fernando Rodney, Franmil Reyes, Miguel Tejada, among others.
