Culture Minister Eduardo Selman announced four winners of the National Visual Arts Award. In previous years, only one winner had been awarded.
For 2019, the jury recognizes the life work of Jorge Severino and Amable Sterling in plastic arts; Domingo Batista in photography and Bismarck Victoria in sculpture. Each award comes with a cash prize of RD$1 million. The awards ceremony will be on Tuesday, 17 December 2019 at the Ministry of Culture on the Malecón in Santo Domingo.
