The Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) candidate for mayor of the National District, Carolina Mejía opened her campaign on Saturday, 14 December 2019 with the support of present mayor David Collado. Collado said he was supporting Mejía in heart and soul. The election is set for 16 February 2020.
The activity was carried out at the Club Mauricio Báez in Villa Juana. During the event, Stalin Alcántara was presented as the candidate to vice mayor. Eduardo Sanz Lovatón is coordinating Mejía’s campaign. After that, the PRM team set out on a caravan that crossed the city from Av. Nicolás de Ovando in northern Santo Domingo to the Malecón in southern Santo Domingo.
