The 9-1-1 National Emergency System reported that on 24 and 25 December it attended to 4,591 emergency calls in the 18 provinces where it offers coverage. The most emergencies were attended to in Greater Santo Domingo, Santiago and Puerto Plata.
The largest number of incidents occurred on Christmas Day. On Christmas Day, 2,420 emergencies were attended to. This was 249 cases more than on Christmas Eve. The highest number of incidents occurred from 4 pm to 9 pm.
