Education Minister Antonio Peña Mirabal issued a call to parents and tutors to send the children to school on the first day after the extended Christmas, New Year’s and Three Kings holidays. The minister called on “mothers and fathers to send their sons, daughters and adolescents” back to school on Tuesday, 7 January 2020. He said that the 18 regional directors and the 122 school districts are ready to get off to a good start of the second half of the school year.
The public school educational authorities have prepared special programs to kick off the semester, including artistic presentations at many schools together with the flag ceremony.
