Visit the new Museum of Royal Shipyards in the Colonial City to learn about the daring sailors that crossed the Atlantic Ocean in search of wealth and adventure.
The Museo de las Reales Atarazanas (MAR) tells the story of Spanish galleons, captains and their crew. See a selection of the thousands of valuable artifacts that have recovered from the sea. Jewels, coins, ingots, cannons are all part of the Laboratory of Undersea Cultural Patrimony at the new museum. The museum is open Tuesday to Saturday from 9 to 5pm.
