Marvin Cid of Diario Libre shares awesome photography of the whales in Samaná Bay. Take note that whale-watching season begins 15 January and extends to 30 March. As reported in Diario Libre, the Ministry of Environment reports seeing over 200 whales in the waters of Samaná Bay last year. There were an estimated 24 baby whales born. An estimated 10,139 Dominicans and 61,122 foreigners took the whale watching tours last year.
