Travel shows promote DR in Europe

Travel trade professionals and the general public in leading European cities have the opportunity to learn more about what the Dominican Republic offers during the many travel shows that open the year.

This year, the Dominican Republic is guest country at the Ferien-Messe Wien taking place in Viena, Austria, from Thursday, 16 January to Sunday, 19 January 2020. The event is Austria’s largest holiday and travel show. More than 800 exhibitors from over 80 countries present the attractions of popular holiday destinations, their best-kept secrets, recommended means of traveling, and an entire range of leisure activities, tailor-made holidays, and travel bargains. The director of the culture division at the Ministry of Tourism, Altagracia Corletto de Olmos (Taty Olmos) said Maestro Rafael Solano is part of the Dominican mission to the fair. Saxophonist Sandy Gabriel, the folklore dance troupe of the Ministry of Tourism, and three artisan jewelry makers are also part of the Dominican delegation to the Austria travel show.
