The Central Electoral Board (JCE) and the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) agreed to move on the printing of the ballots for the 16 February 2020 municipal election in districts where there are not issues pending that may delay the printing. The JCE had given the TSE until Friday, 17 January 2020 to resolve the appeals it had pending.
The TSE president, Román Jáquez Liranzo said that he reached an agreement with the president of the JCE, Julio César Castaños Guzmán, to print only the ballots corresponding to the electoral boards where no judgments on conflicts over candidacies are pending.
