Central Electoral Board (JCE) judge Roberto Saladín is in the United States, where he held the first meeting on Tuesday, 16 January 2020 with delegates of 12 Dominican political parties at the JCE main office in New York City.
Saladín was accompanied by the director of Dominicans Vote Abroad, Gilberto Cruz Herasme and the director for identity cards, Américo Rodríguez. Saladín stressed the importance of the separate municipal election on 16 February that will be followed by the presidential and congressional election on 17 May 2020.
Saladín met with political delegates in Boston on Thursday, 16 January; in Philadelphia on Saturday, 18 January, and will also hold meetings in Washington, DC on Monday, 20 January.
