Julio César de la Rosa Tiburcio, president of the Dominican Alliance Against Corruption (ADOCCO), says that the Central Electoral Board (JCE) has not developed an effective campaign. For the first time, in this electoral year, the municipal election will be held separately from the congressional and presidential election. The date of the municipal election is 16 February 2020.
The Justice and Transparency Foundation (FJT) said that 65% of Dominicans are unaware that the municipal elections will take place on 16 February.
