N Digital says that the extraordinary session convened by President Danilo Medina started a week late and has practically been wasted time for the few attending the sessions. The Wednesday, 22 January session scheduled for 10am was not met because quorum was only met at 1pm. N Digital reports that nothing of importance was reviewed on the day.
Meanwhile, the 32 senators were more active and passed first readings on bills that will amend the social security system and pension plan rules. A first reading on the Extinction of Domain Bill was also passed.
