The Embassy of China in the Dominican Republic issued an explanatory note about the measures being taken to avoid the spread of the Wuhan virus. The Embassy says it is in close contact with Chinese citizens in the country and that no suspicious cases have been found. It suggests that Chinese citizens who have just arrived to the country pay attention to their health and isolate themselves.
The Embassy encourages people to follow the Embassy’s official Twitter account @ChinaEmbassyRD for official information. “You are welcome to actively interact with us on preventive measures and offer suggestions.”
In addition, at the request of the Chinese Embassy, the Chinese community has canceled all kinds of celebration activities.
