Carolina Mejía, candidate for Mayor of the National District for the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), presented to the Santo Domingo Tourism Cluster the plan she will develop if elected mayor on 16 February 2020. She met with city hotel representatives in an event organized by the Santo Domingo Hotel Association at the Santo Domingo Sheraton Hotel.
She proposes to promote attractions of the city in addition to the Colonial City to increase the number of visitors to the city.
