The National Botanical Gardens is hosting the Caribbean and Central American Botanical Gardens Congress (Botanical Bridges III) from 23 to 26 March 2020. The event is a follow up of previous congresses held in 2016 in Panama and 2018 in Havana, Cuba.
The National Botanical Gardens explains the event seeks to encourage collaboration or build bridges, between regional botanical gardens and botanical enthusiasts, research centers in the Central American and Caribbean region. It also seeks to find convergences between conservation and the usefulness of floristic resources in the region. The Congress promotes the exchange of experiences and innovations in research, conservation and education to address the common challenges facing botanical gardens in the region and associated research institutions.
