Fewer jobs available for young people

Young people (ages 15 to 24 years) in the Dominican Republic have a hard time finding regular jobs. The Labor Overview 2019 for Latin America and the Caribbean (Panorama Laboral) establishes that from a youth unemployment of 13.5% from January to September 2018 to 15.5% for the same period in 2019. This is above the regional average of 13.3%. The International Labor Organization prepared the report.
