The Bonao Carnival is in its 30th year. This year for the Sundays in February (except 16 February election day) through 8 March, there will be several urban, merengue and salsa performers that will be the sideshow to the traditional Bonao carnival parades.
On the list of performers are merengue singers Ala Jaza, Omega el Fuerte, Jossie Esteban, The Big Band Merengue and Fefita la Grande. Also Eddy Herrera, Kinito Mendez, Peter Cruz, Vicente Pacheco, Kaky Vargas, Monchy Capricho, Miguel Miguel. And singer David Kata. Also, urban singers Quimico Ultramega, Ciky Vicini, Shadow Blow, Carlitos Wey, Patty M and Karolina RD.
Check out the happenings at the Duarte Park and other areas where the carnival characters are scheduled to parade on Sunday afternoons from 3pm.
