The Technological Institute of the Americas (ITLA) announced the new technical career “Data Analytics and Data Science” to respond to the demand for experts in this growing industry. Technological Institute rector José Armando Tavarez said that the career reaffirms ITLA as the most innovative institution in terms of technology training.
He said that students in this career will acquire the skills to handle the techniques and tools applicable to data analysis for evidence-based solutions to be applied in the local and international market. Moreover, the students will be trained to create automated information systems for decision-making, to manage databases, design and apply models and develop algorithms to extract valuable knowledge.
Graduates will be able to work in the areas of electronic government, open data, internet of things, citizen security, the energy and mining sectors, fraud control, economic and financial sector, multimedia analysis, digital marketing, among others. The course consists of 40 subjects and lasts two years and four months.
