Franchesca De los Santos, the director of the National Transport and Transit Institute (Intrant), says that of the approximately 13,000 vehicles that have been seized for traffic and transit violations, owners have only retrieved 10% of these at most. She said that a large percentage of the vehicles will be scrapped and those that are left will go to public auction as the law orders. The vehicles have been stored at the old Canódromo in northern Santo Domingo.
