
Dominican Republic won first place in the IKA / Culinary Olympics, held in Germany and where 1500 international guests participated.
The award was obtained thanks to the work of chefs Ana Lebrón, Patricia De Marchena and Laura Rizek.
“We are happy with the great news that the Dominican Republic has won the gold medal in the IKA Olympics culinary competition in Germany. We congratulate chef Ana Lebron and the support team,” they reported via their Twitter account.
The Inter-American Academy of Gastronomy brings together 14 countries to promote research, dissemination and protection of their gastronomic heritage. The country’s representation is part of the Dominican Academy of Gastronomy and Tourism.
