The candidate to mayor for La Romana on the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) ticket, Jose Ignacio Morales (El Artistico) suffered a serious accident on Monday, 9 March on the San Pedro de Macoris to La Romana highway. He was traveling with his running mate, Hilda Peguero. Reports are that his condition is stable. He was hospitalized at the Central Romana Medical Center.
Morales is best known for the metalworks he has designed and built that are located all throughout the city of La Romana.
