INFOTEP vocational centers get sanitized to prevent Covid-19

The National Institute of Technical and Vocational Training (INFOTEP) reported the suspension of classes nationwide until Wednesday, 18 March, in order to ensure deep sanitizing of all its educational centers. The decision is taken as part of the measures announced by the Ministry of Public Health to prevent the coronavirus, COVID-19.

“We are protecting our students and collaborators by following the protocols announced by the Ministry of Health following what is established by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) to deal with this pandemic,” Rafael Ovalles, director of Infotep explained.

The Ministry of Education also appealed for the Associations of Parents, Guardians and Friends of the School (APMAES) to join public school staff on Monday for a day of deep cleaning and deep disinfection at public schools after they hosted the extraordinary municipal elections on Sunday, 15 March 2020.
