On 19 March 2020, the US Embassy recommended US citizens who wish to do so to leave the country immediately due to the closure of airports that is in effect for 15 days as of Thursday, 19 March. The Embassy recommends US citizens contact the airlines. The Embassy also warns that all medical care is now severely limited in local hospitals and hospitalized patients may be at increased risk of exposure to the coronavirus.
