
The Central Electoral Board (JCE) announced the presidential candidates for presidential election scheduled for 17 May 2020 in Resolution 037-2020. The candidates are:
Gonzalo Castillo Terrero as President and Margarita María Cedeño Lizardo, as Vice President for the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) and its allies, Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD), Civic Renewal (PCR), Alternative Democratic Movement (Moda), Christian Democrat Union (UDC), Liberal Action Party (PAL), Christian Popular Party (PPC), Independent Revolutionary Party (PRI), Democrat Popular Party (PDC), and Liberal Reformist Party (PRL).
Luis Rodolfo Abinader Corona, President and Raquel Peña Rodríguez, Vice President for the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) and its allies, Dominican Humanist Party (PHD), Dominicans for Change (DXC), Broad Front, Alliance for Democracy (APD), Social Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRSD) and Popular Party (PP).
Leonel Antonio Fernández Reyna as President and Sergia Elena Mejía de Seliman as Vice President for the Christian Social Reformist Party and its allies, the Social Democratic Institutional Bloc (BIS), the Christian Democratic Quisqueyan Party (PQDC), the People’s Force (FP), the National Progressive Force (FNP) and the National Unity Party (PUN).
