The Central Electoral Board (JCE) announced on Sunday, 22 March 2020 that, due to the preventive measures regarding Covid-19, all services related to the Civil Registry and ID cards are suspended in all its offices, for a period of 15 calendar days. The JCE says there will not be fines for those who do not register births in the required 30-day period.
