On Monday, 23 March 2020, the Medina administration announced that the Ministry of Public Administration has issued a resolution suspending deadlines for administrative proceedings and prohibiting the firing of public workers, unless there are proven criminal cases.
On Monday, the Medina administration issued Decree 135-20 that authorizes the circulation of people and vehicles related to energy, water and telecom, seaport and airport services, as well as food distribution and the media.
The new measures were announced on Monday evening by Presidency Minister Gustavo Montalvo, who is the coordinator of the High Commission for the Prevention and Control of the Coronavirus.
