Karl-Anthony Towns’ mother is in coma for Covid-19

Minnesota Timberwolves player Karl-Anthony Towns took to Instagram to share his mother’s fight with Covid-19 in the hope it would encourage others to follow precautions to stop its spread. His mother is hospitalized in a medically-induced coma with the disease in New York City. “We can beat this, but this is serious and we need to take every precaution,” he wrote. He said he shared his story in the hopes that everyone will stay at home.

Karl-Anthony Towns has played for the Dominican Republic national basketball team.
