The Ministry of Public Health in Haiti reported on that country’s first death on 5 April 2020. It is a 55-year old man who had suffered from diabetes and hypertension. As of 6 April 2020 there were 24 confirmed cases in Haiti. The Haitian health authorities report that country has entered a phase of community transmission.
