Gustavo Montalvo, coordinator of the High Commission for Prevention of Coronavirus, announced on 14 April 2020 that Microsoft Corporation has given free access to the Microsoft Teams platform for a period of six months. He said the tool will make possible more videoconferences and digital meetings in government. Montalvo said that Microsoft has also made available to the Dominican government their crisis management application to help coordinate information and collaboration between different teams.
