The Superintendent for Labor Risks and Health (Sisalril) reports on reaching an agreement with the Health Care Providers (ARS) and the Association of Private Clinics (Andeclip) for coverage of specialists attending those affected by the coronavirus. According to a press release, the medical specialists will receive RD$2,000 (instead of RD$800) per day for each patient that they treat in isolation rooms. This is in addition to the agreed-upon fee for intensive care unit hospitalization, in cases when ICU space is full and the patient is on a ventilator.
The agreement that was signed on 5 April 2020 increases the fees paid to physicians when patients need to be hospitalized. The cases need to be documented for the program that is authorized to run in April and May 2020.
