Defense Minister says gloves are not a must

Defense Minister Ruben Paulino Sem has clarified that gloves are optional. “Gloves are not required of people who circulate in the streets, nor can people be arrested for not using them,” he said when interviewed during the inauguration of the C5i, the modern Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cybersecurity and Intelligence Center.
Already, Public Health Minister Dr. Rafael Sánchez Cárdenas had said that gloves are not necessary.

Gloves are costly and difficult to find, but several supermarkets and banks continue to request people have these to enter.
