
A forecast by the Data Driven Innovation Laboratory of Singapore carries good news for the Dominican Republic. In its “When Will Covid-19 End” global analysis, the Singapore-based entity estimates the disease already peaked here in mid-April and has begun to decline in the number of cases. It forecasts a marked decline in cases by May.
It forecasts for the Dominican Republic that 97% of the disease will have ended for 19 May 2020 and 99% by 29 May 2020. By 9 July 2020 the disease will have died out by 100%, according to the forecast.
The Dominican health authorities have said they are awaiting the conclusion of random population testing to issue their own forecast for the disease.
The online site provides continuous predictive monitoring of the disease worldwide based on a susceptible-infected-recovered model.
