Listin Diario reports that there are major delays in the construction of the San Francisco de Macorís public hospital, the new San Vicente de Paul. President Danilo Medina had announced in his 27 February state of the nation address that the hospital would be inaugurated before the end of his government in August 2020. The hospital is under construction in Guiza to serve the northeastern region. Listin Diario features a photograph showing it was very unlikely the hospital could have been inaugurated during this term of the Medina presidency.
