Government says online prescriptions are valid

The Superintendence of Health and Labor Risks (Sisalril) established that the Health Risk Administrators (ARS) and the pharmacies must accept digital medical prescriptions. The Sisalril says these are valid as long as the medicines are described in the Family Health Insurance catalogue. Sisalril says that the prescriptions are not valid for controlled substances.

The clarification is in Sisalril Notification No. 1741 that also establishes that physical prescriptions that are dated continue to be valid if these had been previously been prescribed by the treating physician.
