Religious march did not cause Covid-19 outbreak in Puerto Plata

Puerto Plata pilgrimage seems not to have caused an outbreak of cases in Puerto Plata. Bulletin #50, with results two weeks after the religious march through the city, shows there are no new cases in Puerto Plata. Puerto Plata is now listed with a cumulative 264 cases and 18 deaths. The use of ivermectin is the drug of choice to deal with the disease in the province. The drug was first used at the Centro Medico Bournigal with success. The drug is low cost and is available at pharmacies in the province.
