The Ministry of Economy reported receiving a donation of 4,000 face masks and 6,480 hospital bed covers from Ecolab-Microtek RD, a local free zone industry. The supplies were delivered by Joshua Sims, for Ecolab-Microtek RD. Economy Minister Juan Ariel Jimenez received the donation. The supplies were manufactured at the company’s plants at Las Americas Free Zone and La Romana Free Zone.
The masks were made for this donation and for internal use in company plants in the Dominican Republic and abroad. The disposable bed covers are for use in local hospitals treating Covid-19 patients.
Also present for the donation delivery were Silvia Cochón, promotions director at the National Export Free Zone Council (CNZFE); Luis Manuel Pellerano, marketing director for the Las Americas Free Zone Park; and José Manuel Torres, executive vice president of the Dominican Association of Free Zones (Adozona).
