Presidential candidates presented their government plans to reactivate the economy for the YouTube Live presentation of the Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic (AIRD). Luis Abinader for the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), Gonzalo Castillo for the ruling Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) and former President Leonel Fernández for the People’s Force (FP) explained their proposals. Among the projects presented, Abinader spoke of stimulating manufacturing sector exports by eliminating the pre-payment tax for these; Castillo emphasized his actions to stimulate job creation; Fernández spoke of simplifying the fiscal red tape.
